Was a Christmas present for my niece. She loved itSúper practico. La recomiendo para nuevas principiantesThis worked great (for me) in regards to practicing acrylic overlays, acrylic with glue on tips, hard gels, hybrid gels, gel polish, and even shaping and filing. Cutting down the nail is a bit harder than with a real hand, but I just used my acrylic clipper and it worked fine. The articulation of the hand worked wonderfully too, it was so nice to practice using two hands (I've been doing most of the nail services on myself, I haven't entered any training or apprentices yet)! The only thing its not great for - and I'm sure I could find a work around, is using traditional nail forms (not dual forms) because the very thick nail sits on top of the finger instead of inset like a real finger. Basically, the fake nail is so thick that you can't do more than create just a tip rather than what is traditionally done; an overlay with a tip. In the picture the nail hasn't been shaped or filed, and when I realized how poorly it was working because of how the hand was designed, I kind of gave up - which is why it looks so unfinished. I'm going to try some other methods to get this to work - but the truth is that those methods wont be used with real clients so it's a bit of moot point. In regards to the nails or fingers popping off, I didn't experience any of that. I don't know if it's the improved design or simply because I generally have a gentle hand when it comes to filing and stuff. None of the included nails fell off without some pressure or when my kids started waving it around and hitting furniture with it. Also, before gluing on fake tips to the fake nails, I roughed up the surface with a file and used just a bit of glue - too much glue and it slipped around and had a hard time drying.Easy to work with.At first I had problems with the nails staying on during filing. The finger caps the hand comes with are too firm so the nails can't go in all the way with the flesh on. The nails go in all the way if you remove the flesh BUT they still slide out when you file and you can't sculpt without the flesh on. This is the trick to this hand:Get the really soft silicone finger caps (luckily I had softer caps from a different training hand)Cut the fake cuticle off the nails (this allows the nail to snap in all the way and allows them to come out straight instead of curving downward)Make sure the nail is slid all the way back into place after pushing it in. The nails should "click" into place. Mine click in 3 or 4 times after removing the cuticle.I just tried this and with aggressively filing, the nails did not slip once. I love how flexible the hand is. It bends in a lot of different directions. Very life like. Awesome dupe for the young nails trainer hand which costs over $100. You can pick up a new pack of finger caps for around $10. Hope this helps.Tips fall off after I try to shape the nails with acrylic on.Overall, I do love using this. It is very handy for practice. Alas, the finger tips keep falling off as I'm filing. It gets to be very annoying after a few minutes. I don't understand why they even have the ability to fall off. I'm not changing those out, just the nails. Make them Sturdy and secure. This was brought for my daughter to practice on. She loves it. Her boyfriend keeps messing around with it.Rubbish, absolute waste of my money and my time. 4 days late, supposed to be next day delivery. The nails provided are not the right shape to stick to the hand. Poor product, poor service. Will be seeking compensation totally unacceptable and pointless sending the nails with the hand as they would never fit in a million years. Steer clear of this product!!! Would have given zero stars if I could!!It’s okay a finger broke off and haven’t had it for long miss the window to send backSometimes always fighting to get nails to stickPayed the extra and purchase a silicone hand ( not from Amazon)Definitely not great! Or worth the money. Finger broke off during first.Wouldn’t bother buying to be honestAbsolutely awful to use, nails don't stick, fingers fall off and now the entire hand has snapped, total rubbish!
